Competition Terms & Conditions – Free Heat Pump Installation

1. Promoter

This competition is organised by Glow Heating Services Ltd, a company registered in England and
Wales (Company No. 12512617), MCS certified, with its registered office at The Glow Group (TGG),
F3 Castings Way, Leafbridge, Lincoln, LN6 9WG.

2. Eligibility

Entry is open to homeowners only, aged 18 years or older.

Applicants must own and reside in the property they are applying for.

Properties must be located within Lincolnshire.

Only one entry per property is allowed.- Entrants must complete the official application form in full, providing accurate details to allow
remote assessment of the property.

A valid or prior Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is required to enable remote heat loss
estimation.

The property must have a calculated peak heat loss of no more than 5kW at an external
temperature of -3°C.

This competition is most suitable for homes with lower energy demand, typically no larger than
three bedrooms and with well-insulated building fabric.

Entries may be declined if the property is unlikely to meet the above criteria based on remote
assessment.

3. Competition Dates

Opening Date: 9:00am on Wednesday 4th June 2025

Closing Date: Midnight on Sunday 15th June 2025

Winner Announcement: Tuesday 17th June 2025

4. How to Enter

information necessary for a remote heat loss survey.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

5. Prize Details

One winner will receive a free air source heat pump installation, which includes:

Site-specific system design to MCS standards- Heat pump unit and all necessary equipment

Full installation, including all pipework and radiator upgrades required

A Homely smart thermostat for remote monitoring and user control

Commissioning and system handover

A 10-year manufacturer’s warranty on the heat pump- A 2-year workmanship warranty on the installation

If the winning property has an out-of-date EPC, a new EPC assessment will be arranged and
carried out free of charge

A custom system performance report provided prior to installation, clearly showing that the new
heat pump system will be cheaper to run than the existing fossil fuel system
The installation will be funded via the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant, claimed directly
by Glow Heating Services Ltd to cover material and labour costs.

No cash alternative is available. The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

6. Installation Requirements

This competition is intended for homes with a low peak heat loss, typically properties no larger than
three bedrooms with good insulation levels.

To qualify for the prize, the property must meet the criteria for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme:

A peak heat loss figure under 5kW, verified via remote assessment and confirmed by an on-site
heat loss and technical survey

A valid EPC (Energy Performance Certificate), or a prior EPC record found here, Glow Heating Services Ltd will arrange for a free updated EPC for the winner

The system will be designed and assessed prior to installation to ensure:

It will be cheaper to run than the existing fossil fuel heating system- A detailed calculation will be carried out, and the predicted performance and cost savings will be
clearly provided to the winner before work begins

Installation details:

A new hot water cylinder will be included as part of the works

The heating system will be designed to achieve a flow temperature DeltaT of 5°C across the heat
pump, hot water cylinder, and all radiators

Radiator and system upgrades will be determined as necessary by a qualified Glow Heating Services Ltd surveyor based on system design requirements

Electrical upgrades will be carried out free of charge in the event the existing infrastructure isn’t up to current industry standards

If a homeowner requests specific upgrades outside of the system design (e.g. designer radiators or
bespoke finishes), these will be optional and chargeable

A 10-year manufacturer’s warranty will be included for the heat pump

A 2-year workmanship warranty will be provided by Glow Heating Services Ltd

If the property does not meet the eligibility criteria for the boiler upgrade scheme (BUS grant), the applicant will be
automatically disqualified from the competition.

7. Winner Selection

The winner will be selected at random from all eligible and qualified entries.- The winner will be notified via email or phone and must confirm acceptance within 2 working days,
or the prize will be reallocated to another eligible entrant.

8. Publicity

By entering, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity (photo, video testimonial, or
case study) to be used by Glow Heating Services Ltd for marketing purposes.- All personal data will be handled in accordance with GDPR and will not be shared with third
parties.

9. General

Glow Heating Services Ltd reserves the right to cancel or amend this competition due to
circumstances beyond its control.

Any disputes shall be governed by English law.

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

The decision of Glow Heating Services Ltd is final and binding in all matters related to this
competition.
